Travel Security and Duty of Care for Business Travellers

Organisations that send staff across African borders and into unfamiliar cities carry a duty of care that many discover only after an incident. This course helps travel, human resources and security teams build practical travel risk management, from pre trip briefings to journey tracking and emergency support. Participants learn to rate destinations, prepare travellers and respond when a colleague is caught in unrest, an accident or a medical emergency far from home.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain the duty of care an organisation owes to its travelling employees.
  • Rate destination risk using reliable and current information sources.
  • Prepare travellers with practical pre trip briefings and safety measures.
  • Set up journey tracking and check in procedures for staff on the move.
  • Coordinate assistance during illness, accident, arrest or civil unrest abroad.
  • Build a travel risk policy that managers and travellers can actually follow.
