About BMC Training
We build and deliver corporate training that people can use the week they get back to their desks.
What we do
BMC Training delivers practical corporate training to organisations across Africa and the Gulf, spanning 25 disciplines, from health and safety, leadership and finance through to supply chain, engineering, energy, quality, security, legal and cyber security.
Our programmes are written for the conditions our delegates actually work in. That means the safety, labour and data protection law that governs your own organisation rather than a generic imported framework, and operational planning that accounts for realities such as an interrupted power supply. Training that ignores those realities does not survive contact with the workplace.
We run a published public calendar at our training centres in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Harare, Lusaka, Mozambique, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Kampala, Kigali, Accra, Lagos, Cairo, Dubai, Mauritius, deliver scheduled and in-house programmes in 25 cities across 20 countries in Southern, East and West Africa, the islands and the Middle East, and run the same courses live online.
How we approach a programme
We start from what delegates must be able to do differently, not from a list of topics to cover. Each course is built backwards from that outcome, which is why our outlines specify capabilities rather than chapter headings.
Sessions are worked rather than lectured. Delegates bring their own risk assessments, budgets, contracts, schedules and incident reports into the room and work on those, so the output of the week is something they can take back and use.
Public course numbers are kept small enough that everyone takes part. A delegate who spends five days watching other people practise has not been trained.
