Delegate FAQ

Everything you need to know about booking a course, fees and payment, certificates, online delivery and in-house training. If your question is not here, we are one call or email away.

Registration and booking

How do I register for a course?

Choose a course and a date, then use the enquiry form on the course page, email registration@bmctrainings.co.za, or call +27 12 012 6265 with the course title, the date and city you want, and the delegate details. We confirm the place and send an invoice.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least two to three weeks ahead. That secures a seat, gives time to arrange any travel, and helps for popular courses that fill early.

Can I register several delegates at once?

Yes. You can book several delegates from the same organisation onto a public course. Once a group reaches roughly six delegates, an in-house programme is usually more cost effective.

What happens if I cannot attend my date?

Most courses run on several dates across the year and in more than one city, so we can usually move you to another date or offer the live online option. Just let us know as early as you can at registration@bmctrainings.co.za.

Fees and payment

How much does a course cost?

Fees are per delegate and depend on the length of the course. South African venues (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria) are priced in rand; every other location and live online are priced in US dollars. Each course page shows the exact fee for each date and city.

How much is online training?

Live online delivery is a flat US$900 per delegate, lower than the classroom fee and with no travel cost.

Is VAT included in the fee?

Fees exclude 15% VAT where applicable.

What is included in the fee?

The fee covers tuition, full course materials and a certificate of completion. Travel and accommodation are the delegate's own arrangement.

How and when do we pay?

We invoice your organisation once a place is confirmed. Payment is by electronic funds transfer and is due before the course start date unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Certificates

Do delegates receive a certificate?

Yes. Every delegate who completes a programme receives a BMC Training certificate of completion.

Can I get a replacement certificate?

Yes. Email registration@bmctrainings.co.za with the delegate's name, the course title and the approximate date, and we will reissue it.

Live online delivery

How is online training delivered?

Online courses are led live by the same facilitators, using the same materials as the classroom. They are interactive sessions over video conferencing, not pre-recorded videos.

What do I need to join online?

A computer with a stable internet connection, and a camera and microphone so you can take part in the discussion and exercises.

In-house training

Can you deliver a course for our team only?

Yes. Any of our 2257 programmes can be delivered privately for your team, at your premises, at a venue of your choice or live online, built around your own systems and case material.

Is there a minimum group size for in-house?

In-house delivery usually becomes more cost effective than public seats once a group reaches about six delegates, before travel and accommodation are counted.

Can the content be customised?

Yes. We build in-house material around your policies, procedures, equipment and recent examples, so delegates practise on the situations they actually face.

Venues and logistics

Where are courses held?

Public courses run at training centres in 25 cities including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Kigali, Kampala, Lusaka, Harare, Accra, Lagos, Cairo and Dubai, plus live online. Scheduled dates are available on enquiry across 20 countries in total.
