Supplier Quality and Incoming Inspection

Rejected material at goods receiving is expensive, but rejected material found on the line is far worse. Sessions cover supplier selection and rating, incoming inspection plans, sampling, non conforming material control, and the supplier audit conversation that produces change rather than a defensive email.

What you will be able to do

  • Define quality requirements in purchase specifications so that expectations are contractual, not implied.
  • Evaluate and rate suppliers using delivery, quality and responsiveness data over time.
  • Design incoming inspection plans and sampling schemes matched to risk and volume.
  • Control non conforming material from quarantine through disposition to supplier recovery.
  • Conduct a supplier audit that identifies process weakness rather than paperwork gaps only.
  • Escalate persistent supplier problems with evidence that supports a commercial decision.
