Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Practical Application

Six Sigma fails in South African plants when it is taught as statistics rather than as a way to run improvement projects under real constraints. Delegates take a live problem through define, measure, analyse, improve and control, then defend the savings to a sponsor.

What you will be able to do

  • Scope an improvement project with a problem statement, baseline and financial benefit estimate.
  • Build a measurement system that produces trustworthy data before any analysis begins.
  • Apply process mapping, value stream analysis and waste identification to expose the real constraint.
  • Use control charts, capability studies and hypothesis testing to separate signal from noise.
  • Generate and pilot solutions using structured experimentation rather than opinion.
  • Hand a completed project to process owners with controls that hold the gain.
