Retail Loss Prevention and Shrinkage Control

Shrinkage from shoplifting, staff theft, supplier fraud and administrative error quietly erodes retail margins across South African stores and franchises. This course gives loss prevention teams a structured approach to measuring, investigating and reducing shrinkage without harming the customer experience. It blends physical security, floor tactics and analytics into a practical loss prevention programme.

What you will be able to do

  • Measure and categorise shrinkage across theft, fraud and process error.
  • Identify high risk products, departments and transaction patterns using data.
  • Deploy floor tactics, merchandising and technology to deter and detect theft.
  • Investigate internal theft and till fraud in line with fair procedure.
