Physical Security and Access Control for Industrial Sites

Perimeter fences, turnstiles and visitor registers only work when the whole system is designed around how people and vehicles actually move through a site. Layered protection for factories, warehouses and mines is covered from risk assessment through to access technology, guard force supervision and contractor screening.

What you will be able to do

  • Assess a site using a layered defence model that separates perimeter, building and asset level controls.
  • Design vehicle and pedestrian access points that manage peak shift traffic without creating queues at the gate.
  • Specify access control technology suited to dust, power interruptions and the actual literacy mix of the workforce.
  • Supervise a contracted guard force against measurable post orders rather than headcount alone.
  • Apply screening and vetting procedures to contractors, casual labour and delivery drivers.
  • Investigate access control breaches using gate registers, camera footage and reader logs together.
