Quality Management for Plastics, Rubber and Injection Moulding

Plastics and rubber processors across Africa battle defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks and inconsistent dimensions that drive up scrap and customer complaints. This course links common moulding defects to their process causes and teaches practical control of materials, process parameters and tooling. Participants learn to diagnose defects and stabilise moulding processes for consistent output.

What you will be able to do

  • Identify common plastics and rubber defects and their causes.
  • Control raw material handling, drying and preparation.
  • Link process parameters to product quality outcomes.
  • Diagnose moulding defects using a structured approach.
  • Manage tooling and mould maintenance for quality.
  • Set up in process checks to catch defects early.
