Process Mapping and Value Stream Analysis

Operations teams across South African industries and logistics chains frequently cannot see where time, stock, and quality are actually lost between departments. This course teaches practical process mapping and value stream analysis so participants can chart current state workflows, quantify waiting time, rework, and handoffs, and design a future state that removes non value adding steps without expensive new systems or headcount.

What you will be able to do

  • Map a current state process using standard flowcharting and value stream symbols.
  • Identify non value adding steps, delays, and handoffs that slow down a workflow.
  • Calculate lead time, cycle time, and process efficiency from real operational data.
  • Design a future state map that removes waste and shortens throughput time.
  • Facilitate a cross functional workshop to agree process changes with frontline staff.
  • Build an implementation plan that assigns owners and target dates to each improvement.
