Pipeline and Energy Infrastructure Security Management

Fuel pipelines, storage depots and power lines stretch across long remote corridors where tapping, vandalism and organised theft cause spills, outages and danger to communities. This comprehensive programme prepares security teams to protect linear and distributed energy assets through patrol strategy, technology and community engagement. Participants learn to detect interference early, respond safely to leaks and losses and coordinate the many agencies involved along an African energy corridor.

What you will be able to do

  • Map security threats along pipelines, depots and power distribution networks.
  • Design patrol, surveillance and detection strategies for long corridors.
  • Detect illegal tapping, connection and product theft early.
  • Coordinate safe response to leaks, spills and infrastructure sabotage.
  • Engage communities along the route to reduce vandalism and theft.
  • Align security operations with operator, regulator and emergency services.
