Managing Product Recalls, Traceability and Batch Control

A single quality failure can force a recall that threatens both customer safety and brand reputation. This course teaches organisations how to build the traceability and batch control needed to isolate affected product quickly and manage a recall with confidence. Delegates practise a mock recall so African manufacturers and distributors can respond calmly and limit damage when problems occur.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain the legal and commercial drivers behind product recalls.
  • Design batch coding and traceability that link raw materials to finished goods.
  • Establish the records needed to trace product forwards and backwards.
  • Build a recall plan with clear roles, decisions, and communication steps.
  • Conduct a mock recall to test readiness and identify gaps.
  • Capture lessons from incidents to prevent recurrence.
