Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Awareness and Team Participation

Many African improvement projects stall because shop floor staff do not understand the tools their Green Belts and Black Belts are using. This practical course equips operators, clerks, and team members with a working grasp of Lean and Six Sigma so they can contribute data, ideas, and effort to improvement projects. Participants leave able to support waste reduction and problem solving without needing to lead a full project themselves.

What you will be able to do

  • Describe the aims of Lean and Six Sigma in everyday operational language.
  • Identify the eight wastes in a typical workplace process.
  • Collect accurate process data to support an improvement project.
  • Contribute usefully to a define, measure, analyse, improve, and control project as a team member.
  • Apply simple visual and checklist tools to their own daily work.
  • Recognise their role in sustaining gains after a project closes.
