Lean Product and Process Development for New Product Teams

Many quality and cost problems are locked in long before production starts, during product and process design. This course teaches lean development practices that build quality in early, so new products launch faster with fewer late surprises. Delegates learn to capture knowledge and involve manufacturing early so African organisations bring better products to market with less rework.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain how early design decisions determine quality and cost.
  • Apply lean development principles to shorten and de risk product launches.
  • Involve manufacturing and suppliers early in the design process.
  • Use knowledge capture to avoid repeating past design mistakes.
  • Set up design reviews and readiness checks that prevent late failures.
  • Plan a smooth handover from development into stable production.
