Kaizen Facilitation and Continuous Improvement Culture

Improvement events in many South African workplaces fizzle out once the facilitator leaves because staff were never taught how to run kaizen activities themselves. This course develops practical facilitation skills for planning, running, and following up short focused improvement events, so supervisors and improvement champions can build a culture where frontline teams keep finding and fixing waste long after the workshop ends.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan a focused kaizen event with a clear scope, target, and timeline.
  • Facilitate a mixed team of operators, supervisors, and support staff through an improvement event.
  • Apply simple waste identification tools during a gemba walk on the shop floor.
  • Convert team ideas into small, testable changes within a single working week.
  • Coach frontline supervisors to run their own kaizen activities without external support.
  • Establish a visual tracking system that keeps improvement momentum going after the event.
