Insider Threat Detection and Management Programme

Trusted employees and contractors cause many of the most damaging security breaches, from collusion with syndicates to sabotage and data theft. This course helps security and risk teams build a structured insider threat programme that spots warning signs early while respecting employee rights and privacy law. Participants learn to combine behavioural indicators, access controls and reporting channels into a fair and defensible approach suited to African workplaces.

What you will be able to do

  • Describe the main types of insider threat and how they cause harm.
  • Recognise behavioural and access based warning indicators without profiling unfairly.
  • Design reporting channels that encourage staff to raise concerns safely.
  • Apply access controls and separation of duties to limit insider opportunity.
  • Manage a suspected insider case in line with privacy and labour requirements.
  • Coordinate insider threat work across security, human resources and management.
