Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata for Frontline Teams

Many African improvement programmes deliver a burst of gains that quietly fade once the consultants leave. The Improvement Kata builds a daily habit of scientific problem solving, while the Coaching Kata develops leaders who grow that capability in their teams. This course teaches both routines through practice so organisations can pursue challenging targets in small, learning driven steps.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain the four steps of the Improvement Kata routine.
  • Set a meaningful challenge and understand the current condition.
  • Establish the next target condition for a process.
  • Run rapid experiments toward the target condition.
  • Apply the five Coaching Kata questions as a leader.
  • Embed the routines as a daily management habit.
