Counter Terrorism Awareness and Attack Preparedness for Organisations

Hotels, malls, places of worship and corporate campuses in several African countries have faced terrorist attacks, and preparedness dramatically improves survival and response. This course raises awareness of terrorist tactics and helps organisations prepare staff to recognise warning signs and respond to an active attack. Delegates learn hostile reconnaissance detection, the run, hide and tell response, lockdown procedures and how to support people during and after an attack.

What you will be able to do

  • Recognise common terrorist tactics and the phases of attack planning.
  • Detect hostile reconnaissance and suspicious behaviour around a facility.
  • Apply the run, hide and tell response during an active attack.
  • Implement lockdown, invacuation and evacuation procedures appropriately.
  • Coordinate with police and emergency services during and after an attack.
  • Support staff and the public through the aftermath of a terrorist incident.
