Weighbridge and Industrial Scale Calibration and Maintenance

Weighbridges and industrial scales sit at the point where African mines, farms and factories measure value, so accuracy directly affects revenue and disputes. This programme builds practical skills to maintain and calibrate weighing systems, from load cells and junction boxes to indicators and software. Participants learn to diagnose drift and faults and to keep weighing equipment accurate and trusted.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain how weighbridges and industrial scales convert load into a reading.
  • Inspect and maintain load cells, junction boxes, cabling and mechanical supports.
  • Carry out calibration checks and adjustments using reference weights.
  • Diagnose drift, non linearity and faults in weighing systems.
  • Maintain indicators, connections and weighing software configuration.
  • Keep records that support accuracy and resolve measurement disputes.
