Reliability Centred Maintenance and Failure Analysis

Repeat failures are expensive, and most of them are preventable once the real cause is understood. This programme introduces reliability centred maintenance as a body of knowledge and teaches structured failure analysis techniques that delegates apply to their own recurring plant problems during the week.

What you will be able to do

  • Describe how equipment functions, functional failures and failure modes are identified and documented.
  • Select maintenance tactics that match the actual failure pattern of each asset.
  • Conduct root cause analysis using structured methods rather than assumption and blame.
  • Interpret condition monitoring data from vibration, thermography, oil analysis and inspection.
