Water and Sanitation Services Management for Municipalities

This course focuses on the operational and regulatory management of water and sanitation services in South African municipalities, covering water services authority and provider responsibilities, tariff setting, non-revenue water reduction, wastewater treatment compliance and drought response. Participants work with case studies drawn from metros, district and local municipalities to strengthen service reliability and regulatory compliance under the Water Services Act.

  • Calculate and reduce non-revenue water losses within a municipal distribution network.
  • Set water and sanitation tariffs that balance cost recovery with affordability.
