Tyre Management and Fleet Maintenance Cost Reduction

Focuses on one of the largest controllable costs in any fleet, namely tyres and running maintenance. Participants learn how to track tyre life, manage retreading, control pressures and cut avoidable wear. The course uses South African cost per kilometre benchmarks and the harsh conditions of gravel roads, heat and overloading that shorten tyre and component life.

What you will be able to do

  • Track tyre life, wear patterns and cost per kilometre across the fleet.
  • Set pressure, rotation and inspection routines that extend tyre life.
  • Evaluate new, retread and second life tyre options on cost and risk.
  • Diagnose common wear patterns and link them to mechanical or driver causes.
  • Build a maintenance budget that reduces avoidable repair spend.
  • Use supplier data and warranties to control tyre and parts cost.
