Transport Supervisor and Team Leadership Development

Develops the leadership and people skills that transport supervisors need to run a shift of drivers, controllers and workshop staff. The programme moves beyond systems to cover communication, discipline, safety leadership and handling difficult conversations. It reflects the mix of pressures in South African transport operations, from union environments to shift work and driver shortages.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan and lead a transport shift that balances safety, cost and delivery targets.
  • Communicate instructions and feedback clearly to drivers and depot staff.
  • Apply fair discipline and manage attendance and conduct issues.
  • Lead daily safety briefings and reinforce safe driving behaviour.
  • Handle conflict and difficult conversations without escalating tension.
  • Coach team members and build accountability across the shift.
