Systems Thinking for Leaders and Managers

Complex organisations often see problems repeat because managers treat symptoms in isolation rather than the wider system that produces them. This course introduces systems thinking as a practical leadership tool for understanding how parts of an organisation connect and influence one another. Delegates learn to map interdependencies, spot unintended consequences, and design changes that hold over time.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain the core principles of systems thinking in a practical management context.
  • Map how processes, people and departments interconnect and influence outcomes.
  • Identify feedback loops and the root causes behind recurring problems.
  • Anticipate unintended consequences before making organisational changes.
  • Use systems tools to design interventions that last rather than quick fixes.
  • Apply a systems lens to a real challenge in the delegate's own organisation.
