Change Management and Organisational Transformation

Restructures, new systems and mergers usually fail on the people side rather than the technical one. Managers work through a method for planning a change, bringing sceptical staff with them, and holding the new way of working in place once senior attention has moved on to something else.

What you will be able to do

  • Diagnose the readiness of an organisation before committing to a change programme.
  • Distinguish resistance that signals a real problem from resistance that signals fear.
  • Build a stakeholder engagement plan that addresses each group's actual concerns.
  • Communicate a change so that people understand what it means for their own role.
  • Support line managers who must deliver the change while still running the business.
  • Embed new behaviours through reinforcement so that the organisation does not quietly revert.
