Supply Chain Finance and Reverse Factoring Programme Management

Large buyers across Africa are using supply chain finance to pay suppliers early while extending their own payment terms, but poorly designed programmes create hidden debt and supplier friction. This course explains how payables finance and reverse factoring work, how the accounting is treated, and how to run a programme that genuinely supports suppliers. Treasury and procurement teams learn to design, onboard and govern a programme end to end.

What you will be able to do

  • Distinguish supply chain finance, factoring and dynamic discounting.
  • Design a reverse factoring programme that balances buyer and supplier needs.
  • Assess the accounting and disclosure treatment of payables finance.
  • Onboard suppliers and set fair pricing within a programme.
  • Govern programme risk, concentration and provider dependence.
  • Measure the working capital and supplier relationship benefits achieved.
