Section 71 In-Year Reporting and Budget Monitoring for Municipalities

This course focuses on the monthly and quarterly in year monitoring reports that municipalities must produce under Section 71 of the MFMA. Participants learn to prepare accurate reports on revenue, expenditure and cash flow, compare performance against the budget and flag risks early. The programme helps African municipalities strengthen financial discipline and give councils timely information for corrective action.
