Resource Planning and Capacity Management Across Projects

Most African organisations run more projects than their people can realistically deliver, and the result is chronic overload and slipping deadlines. This course tackles resource planning and capacity management across a portfolio of work. Delegates learn to see true demand against capacity and make honest choices about what can actually be delivered.

What you will be able to do

  • Build a clear picture of resource demand across all active and planned projects.
  • Assess real capacity after accounting for leave, operations and other duties.
  • Identify where demand exceeds capacity and the delivery risk it creates.
  • Prioritise and sequence projects so critical resources are not overcommitted.
  • Manage shared and specialist resources fairly across competing projects.
  • Present capacity choices to leadership so they can decide what to defer.
