Project Risk and Stakeholder Management

Most projects fail for reasons that were visible early and for people reasons that were never managed. Delegates learn to identify, quantify and respond to project risk while building the stakeholder relationships that keep decisions moving and approvals arriving before the schedule depends on them.

What you will be able to do

  • Facilitate a structured risk identification workshop that surfaces more than the obvious issues.
  • Assess risk exposure using qualitative scoring and simple quantitative modelling.
  • Select proportionate response strategies and assign genuine ownership for each one.
  • Size schedule and cost contingency on evidence rather than on habit or negotiation.
  • Map stakeholder influence and interest, then design an engagement approach for each group.
  • Handle community, labour and regulatory expectations that commonly disrupt South African projects.
