Public Private Partnership and Concession Contract Management

Governments across Africa rely on public private partnerships and concessions to deliver roads, power, water and social infrastructure. This course equips public officials and private sponsors to structure, negotiate and manage these long term agreements. Delegates work through risk allocation, availability payments, output specifications and the contract management disciplines that keep a concession on track over its full life.

What you will be able to do

  • Distinguish PPP models and select the right structure for a project.
  • Allocate construction, demand and operating risk between parties.
  • Interpret output specifications and payment mechanism clauses.
  • Manage variations, refinancing and change in law provisions.
  • Monitor concessionaire performance against contract deliverables.
  • Handle disputes, step in rights and end of term handback.
