Public Passenger Transport Operations Management

Bus and minibus taxi operations carry most of the country's commuters under thin margins and real safety pressure. Route and timetable planning, operating licence applications, roadworthy and driver documentation, fare collection controls, and operator obligations under the National Road Traffic Act.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan routes, timetables and vehicle cycles against observed passenger demand.
  • Apply for and maintain operating licences and the supporting documentation.
  • Keep roadworthy certificates, driver documentation and permits current across a fleet.
  • Control fare collection and cash handling to reduce revenue leakage.
  • Meet operator duties under the National Road Traffic Act and record the evidence.
  • Handle passenger complaints, incidents and service disruption communication.
