Project Risk Management and Governance

Builds practical capability to identify, assess and govern risk across capital projects and major programmes, addressing the cost overruns, delays and contractor disputes common to South African infrastructure, construction and IT implementation projects. Covers risk registers, contingency planning, stage gate governance and lessons learned processes suited to project and programme managers.

What you will be able to do

  • Identify risks typical of capital projects and major programmes.
  • Apply a project risk register linked to cost, schedule and quality.
  • Assess contractor and supplier delivery risk at each project stage.
  • Design stage gate governance controls for major project decisions.
