Enterprise Risk Management in Practice

Enterprise risk management goes wrong when it stays a policy document. Delegates define risk appetite, build registers that management actually opens, test controls, model financial exposure and design reporting that gives a board an accurate picture instead of a colour coded reassurance exercise.

What you will be able to do

  • Establish a risk management framework proportionate to your organisation's size and complexity.
  • Articulate risk appetite and tolerance in language the board can approve and management can apply.
  • Facilitate risk identification across strategic, operational, financial and compliance domains.
  • Assess inherent and residual risk after honest evaluation of control effectiveness.
  • Quantify significant exposures using scenario analysis and simple loss modelling.
  • Report risk to executive and board audiences in a form that drives decisions.
