Project Quality Management and Assurance

Quality on a project is not an inspection at the end, it is a set of decisions made from the planning stage onward. This course builds practical quality planning, assurance and control into the project life cycle, covering acceptance criteria, quality audits, defect management and the cost of poor quality, with examples from construction, manufacturing and service delivery projects.

What you will be able to do

  • Define measurable quality criteria and acceptance standards during project planning.
  • Distinguish quality assurance activities from quality control checks and apply each correctly.
  • Plan and conduct quality audits that identify process weaknesses before they become defects.
  • Manage non conformances, defects and rework through a disciplined correction process.
  • Calculate the cost of poor quality and use it to justify prevention spend.
  • Build quality lessons learned into standards for future projects.
