Project Portfolio Prioritisation and Investment Selection

Most organisations have more project ideas than money or people to deliver them, yet still start too many at once. This course gives managers a practical way to score, rank and select projects so that scarce funding backs the work with the strongest returns. It uses scoring models and portfolio balancing techniques suited to African public bodies, banks and growing enterprises.

What you will be able to do

  • Build scoring models that weigh strategic fit, return and risk consistently.
  • Rank competing projects using transparent and defensible criteria.
  • Balance the portfolio across risk, time horizon and business area.
  • Match project demand to realistic funding and resource capacity.
  • Present portfolio recommendations that executives can act on.
  • Review and rebalance the portfolio as conditions change.
