Project Management for Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Projects

South Africa's energy transition and infrastructure build-out have created strong demand for project professionals who understand how these complex projects actually come together. This course covers the full life cycle of renewable energy and infrastructure projects, from development and financing through construction and commissioning to operations. It addresses the permitting, community and grid realities specific to the local market.

What you will be able to do

  • Manage the development phase, including permitting, environmental approvals and land access.
  • Coordinate the interfaces between financing, engineering, procurement and construction.
  • Plan and control construction, commissioning and grid or network connection.
  • Manage community, landowner and regulatory stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Handle the specific risks of large capital projects, from currency to counterparty exposure.
