Project Management for Manufacturing and Plant Upgrade Projects

Upgrading or expanding a working plant is among the hardest projects to run, because delivery must happen while production continues and every shutdown costs money. This course applies project management to manufacturing and plant upgrade work in African industry. Delegates learn to plan around production, manage installation and commission new capacity with minimal disruption.

  • Plan plant upgrade projects around production schedules and shutdown windows.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Manage the safety and permit requirements of working in a live plant.
  • Sequence tie ins and cutovers to minimise loss of production.
