Project Management for Donor Funded and NGO Programmes

Donor funded projects run to a different clock, compliance conditions, reporting formats and procurement rules are set by the funder, not the implementing organisation. This course builds project management skills suited to NGOs, development agencies and public benefit organisations working across South Africa and the wider continent, covering grant conditions, donor reporting, multi partner coordination and audit readiness.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan a donor funded project against grant conditions and funder reporting cycles.
  • Apply donor procurement rules alongside standard project procurement practice.
  • Coordinate delivery across implementing partners, subgrantees and government counterparts.
  • Prepare narrative and financial reports that satisfy funder templates and deadlines.
  • Manage risk specific to donor funded work, including funding gaps and currency exposure.
  • Prepare project files for donor audits and end of grant evaluations.
