Primavera P6 for Project Planners and Schedulers

Large capital projects across Africa increasingly demand schedules built in Primavera P6, yet many planners learn the tool in fragments on the job. This course builds practical fluency from a blank project through resource loaded baselines and progress updates. Delegates work on realistic infrastructure and plant examples so the skills transfer straight back to the office.

What you will be able to do

  • Set up a project calendar, work breakdown structure and activity network in Primavera P6.
  • Assign resources and costs to activities and resolve overallocation sensibly.
  • Build and lock a baseline that supports meaningful progress comparison.
  • Update actual progress and interpret the resulting critical path and float.
  • Produce layouts, filters and reports that speak to different project audiences.
  • Diagnose common scheduling errors such as open ends, negative float and constraint abuse.
