Pressure and Temperature Instrument Calibration

Process decisions and safety systems on African plants are only as trustworthy as the instruments feeding them, yet calibration is often skipped or done poorly. This hands on programme trains technicians to calibrate pressure and temperature instruments and transmitters against traceable references. Delegates learn to document calibrations properly so readings can be trusted for control, billing and safety.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain calibration, traceability and measurement error in plain terms.
  • Calibrate pressure gauges, switches and transmitters correctly.
  • Calibrate temperature sensors, transmitters and indicators.
  • Use calibrators and reference standards with correct technique.
  • Judge pass and fail against tolerance and adjust as needed.
  • Complete calibration certificates and maintain calibration records.
