Performance Management and Coaching for Managers

Annual reviews that surprise nobody and improve nothing are a waste of everyone's afternoon. Performance management gets rebuilt around frequent, specific conversations, and managers pick up a coaching method short enough to use in ten minutes at a workstation without booking a meeting room.

What you will be able to do

Set performance expectations that are observable, measurable and agreed rather than assumed.
Separate performance problems caused by ability from those caused by motivation or systems.
Give feedback that describes specific behaviour and its effect without triggering defensiveness.
