Passenger Bus Emergency Evacuation and Onboard Safety Management

Prepares bus and coach operators to protect passengers during fires, rollovers, breakdowns and other emergencies. Covers evacuation drills, emergency equipment, assisting vulnerable passengers and coordinating with emergency services. Reflects the heavy passenger loads and challenging road conditions faced by bus operators across Africa.

What you will be able to do

  • Identify onboard emergencies and the risks they pose to passengers.
  • Plan and rehearse safe evacuation of a loaded bus or coach.
  • Ensure emergency equipment is present, functional and accessible.
  • Assist elderly, disabled and vulnerable passengers during an evacuation.
