Oil Sampling and Used Oil Analysis for Maintenance Teams

Used oil carries an early warning of wear and contamination that many African plants never read. This programme teaches maintenance teams to take representative oil samples, understand laboratory reports, and act on wear metal, water and particle results before machinery fails. Delegates learn to build a sampling routine that fits dusty, remote and high humidity operating conditions.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain what oil analysis reveals about machine and lubricant condition.
  • Take representative oil samples without introducing contamination.
  • Interpret wear metal, viscosity, water and particle count results.
  • Set alarm limits and trend results for critical machines.
  • Convert analysis findings into maintenance and oil change decisions.
  • Design a practical sampling programme for site conditions.
