Newsletter and Staff Publication Writing for Communicators

Internal newsletters and staff publications keep African workforces informed and connected, yet many become dull noticeboards that few people read. This course helps communicators plan, write and edit publications that colleagues actually want to open. Delegates practise sourcing stories, writing engaging articles and designing a simple, consistent publication that supports the organisation's goals.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan a newsletter around reader interests and organisational messages.
  • Source and develop stories from across the organisation.
  • Write headlines and articles that hold reader attention.
  • Edit contributions from colleagues into a consistent style.
  • Structure and lay out a publication for easy reading.
  • Measure readership and improve each edition over time.
