Negotiation Communication and Written Deal Correspondence

Deals across African business are increasingly shaped in writing, through offer letters, counterproposals, term summaries and follow up emails that carry as much weight as the meeting itself. Careless wording concedes ground or sours a relationship. This course develops the communication skills to negotiate persuasively in person and to capture agreements in writing that protect your position.

What you will be able to do

  • Prepare and open negotiations with clear, confident communication.
  • Frame proposals and concessions in language that preserves value.
  • Write offer letters, counterproposals and term summaries accurately.
  • Confirm what was agreed in writing to prevent later disputes.
  • Keep correspondence professional even when talks become tense.
  • Recognise wording that commits the organisation prematurely.
