Monitoring and Evaluation for Development Programmes

Donors and government departments want proof that a programme changed something, not just a list of activities completed. Theory of change, indicator design, baseline and endline surveys, and the logframe reporting that funders across Africa expect from implementing partners are worked through in practical detail.

  • Build a theory of change and results chain that links activities to intended outcomes.
  • Design indicators with clear definitions, baselines, targets and means of verification.
  • Plan baseline, midline and endline data collection appropriate to the programme budget.
