Mining and Off Road Fleet Operations Management

Addresses the specific demands of running yellow metal and haul truck fleets on mines, quarries and construction sites. Participants learn availability planning, operator management, and the safety controls that keep off road fleets productive. The programme reflects South African site conditions, including dust, steep haul roads, shift systems and the high cost of downtime on production.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan availability and utilisation targets for haul trucks and mobile plant.
  • Coordinate operator rosters, shift handovers and machine allocation.
  • Apply site traffic management and collision avoidance controls.
  • Manage servicing, component life and downtime on heavy equipment.
  • Track production linked measures such as tonnes and cycle times.
  • Reduce off road fleet risk through pre use inspection and reporting.
