Managing Disability, Reasonable Accommodation and Inclusion at Work

Employing people with disabilities is both a transformation imperative and a source of untapped talent across African workplaces. This programme equips HR teams to recruit, accommodate and retain employees with disabilities in a dignified and practical way. Delegates learn how to assess accommodation requests, adapt work environments and build a genuinely inclusive culture rather than a compliance exercise.

What you will be able to do

  • Interpret disability and accommodation obligations in the employment context.
  • Conduct a reasonable accommodation assessment with an employee.
  • Adapt job roles, workstations and processes for accessibility.
  • Support disability disclosure and confidentiality sensitively.
  • Set and track disability employment targets and reporting.
  • Build manager confidence in supporting employees with disabilities.
