Strategic Human Resource Management

Move the HR function from administration to influence. Workforce planning, capability building and people analytics get connected back to business strategy, and you rehearse arguing for people investment in the language executives and boards actually respond to, which is rarely the language of HR.

What you will be able to do

  • Translate a business strategy into a workforce plan with defined capability requirements.
  • Model demand and supply of skills to expose future gaps before they become crises.
  • Design an HR operating model that balances shared services, business partnering and expertise.
  • Build a people scorecard using metrics that predict rather than merely describe.
  • Align learning and development investment with the intent of the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998.
  • Present a business case for people investment to an executive committee.
