Leading Team Wellbeing and Preventing Collective Burnout

Heavy workloads, thin staffing and constant pressure are pushing whole teams toward exhaustion across many African workplaces. This course shifts the focus from individual coping to the leader's role in protecting the wellbeing of the entire team. Participants learn to spot the warning signs of collective burnout, manage workload and pace, and build the conditions in which people can sustain high performance without breaking.

What you will be able to do

  • Recognise the early signs of burnout across a whole team, not just individuals.
  • Understand the leadership behaviours that fuel or ease team exhaustion.
  • Manage workload, pace and priorities to protect sustainable performance.
  • Create psychological conditions that support wellbeing and recovery.
  • Model healthy boundaries and habits as a leader.
  • Build a practical team wellbeing plan that fits operational demands.
