Laboratory and Test Report Writing for Quality Teams

Laboratory analysts and quality staff generate valuable results that lose their value when the report is unclear, incomplete or hard to trust. This course helps technical staff in African laboratories, plants and quality departments write results, methods and conclusions that clients, regulators and managers can rely on. Delegates practise presenting data, uncertainty and observations precisely while keeping the report readable for non specialist decision makers.

What you will be able to do

  • Structure a test or laboratory report using a clear, repeatable format.
  • Record methods, samples and conditions with enough detail to be reproduced.
  • Present results, tables and units accurately and consistently.
  • State findings, limitations and uncertainty without overstating conclusions.
  • Write summaries that non technical readers and clients can understand.
  • Apply consistent numbering, referencing and version control to reports.
